Dry & Sensitive Skin
While we can't make promises, many people do find comfort using our super-mild bar soaps. Soothing Little Kieran Organic Soap with Aloe Vera concentrate is one of our mildest bars. It could be considered Dry Skin Therapy for the most sensitive hair, face or body as it also contains organic cocoa butter. If you are dealing with dermatitis, dry "alligator skin" patches either seasonally or year 'round; this may bring you some quick relief. Also useful for some forms of dandruff, and itchy scalp. We also recommend using our Organic Shea Butter Balm daily on rough areas of your skin.

If you live in a climate that requires indoor heating in the winter, chances are you are familiar with dry skin. For some dry skin is seasonal, for others it's an everyday concern. Chlorinated water, stress, diet, artificial fragrances, climate, natural aging and hormonal cycles, air pollution, genetics; all these situations may contribute to your dry skin. The Creamery is an excellent choice of soapas as it is made with shea nut butter, is super moisturizing and is unscented. Our Gentle Baby soap is not just for babies as it has a light lavender scent and aloe vera added. No matter which soap you choose you can be assured of the quality and results.

Soothe Me is a rich, moisturizing soap with Shea Butter, Honey and Oatmel. The Shea Butter helps your skin to soothe irritated, dry and chapped skin because it retains its all-natural moisturizing ability. Oatmeal flakes are very effective against dry skin and are good for your body too as they help to exfoliate, removing dead skin and exposing softer, smooth skin underneath. Oats also contains natural saponins that cleanse pores and remove grime. The FDA recognizes oatmeal as a soothing skin aid, helpful for reducing inflammation, relieving irritation and combating dryness.

For Normal Skin
People with normal skin have got it made! There's not too many of you, but you lucky individuals can use anything we make with out any issues arising. Make your choices based on aesthetics and personal preference. Choose specific use - Use Saturday Morning when you are feeling a little dry, Peppermint Stick for a great summertime feeling regardless of what the calendar says. Try our Rose & Mary for a refreshing feeling, Honey Bunny or Flower Garden Morning for daily use. We have recreated one of the most popular fragrances of the ‘60’s in Dead Head Patchouli - very sandalwood and great for your skin.

When you are feeling especially dry switch to Saturday Morning. When oily go to Flower Garden Morning or Peppermint Stick. You may find yourself using different soaps in different seasons.

For Normal to Oily Skin
Normal to oily skin is essentially normal skin that requires a little mild astringent in the soap. Flower Garden Morning is recommended both in liquid and bars. So are any of the Bath & Shower Gels, Rose & Mary and Honey Bunny bar soaps. In fact, you will probably like all of our soaps and can alternate to suit the moment or to produce a particular herbal effect. Keep some Peppermint Stick around for to get your day started quickly.

For Oily Skin
Peppermint Stick is a powerful herbal astringent to dry up oily patches. If acne is an issue, try our T-N-T organic soap bars and Bath & Shower Gels. For maintenance you may want to switch to something milder like the LemonDee Bath & Shower Gels with LemonDee Bar Soap.

If you are dealing with dandruff, itchy scalp, thinning hair and split ends this may help you as well. Many people report extremely positive results using our Organic Shampoo Bar, made with Organic Oils. Try using Little Kieran Organic Soap if you have oilier hair; Organic Shampoo Bar if your hair is on the dry side. Makes thin hair appear thicker. We have reports of hair thinning SLOWER using natural soap for hair, as compared to detergent shampoos. You will have to experiment and see if you get results like this on your hair and scalp. Super mild and nonirritating, these bars condition as they clean. If it's going to help your hair and scalp you will know it within about three weeks.
Instructions:
Wet hair and bar in very warm to hot water. Rub bar directly on head. Work into scalp and massage thoroughly. Rinse well while continuing to massage scalp. No conditioner needed. In addition, its excellent to use for shaving and showering - great for dry skin!

Deodorant
NVO’s unique vegetable oil formula creates a bar that is an ideal medium for the dispersion of essential oils onto human skin. We recommend the use of our T-N-T family of soaps - T-N-T Organic Bar Soap, T-N-T Organic Castile Liquid Soap and T-N-T Organic Bath & Shower Gel - with Tea Tree Oil as a germ killer and fungicide. Many of us are plagued intermittently with athlete's foot, body fungi or body odor. Some people report positive results using our T-N-T family of soaps and our Nittany Woods Organic Bar Soap which contains organic clove oil. Clove oil was used to disinfect medical instruments during the Civil War. In a greatly diluted form in this product, it works with the natural cinnamon for even greater effectiveness. Makes a great foot soap for athlete’s foot control and/or a deodorant bar. Not recommended for very dry or very sensitive skin as it may make a dry skin situation in sensitive individuals worse.
